childhood. I have a wide musical background, playing in classical harmonic orchestra, traditional folk music groups, world music bands and graduated from the Music Academy with a Master Degree in Nordic Folk Music in 2013.
Since then I have been active as a freelance musician, composer and teacher at the Folk Music Department at the Music Academy in Esbjerg (Denmark). The last five years I also have been active in research of traditional Icelandic fiddle music and exchange of music with the folk music environment on Iceland. Besides the music I am also active as a lecture holder. Giving lectures on the subjects such as “What is tradition” and “Artistic identity in traditional music”.
